I chose triangular broken tile to contrast with the mainly square and rectangular coloured tiles. I like how it looks at this stage without any grout (filling). You can see the effect I wanted with the swirl.

Hello Tracy,
I will like to do a part of my bathroom wall with triangular broken tiles, but how do I break the tiles into such nice triangle shape like yours?

Hi Siok Hwa,
I use tile pliers and nippers similar to the ones on this page. I used a big white bathroom tile be randomly nipped it to get smaller pieces, then used the plier/tool with the wheel to cut rough triangle shapes.
however, if you want bigger, neater triangles you have to use a proper tile cutter that scores a tile in a straight line; like these.
