Hi readers. My name is Tracy.
This blog is more of a journal than an actual blog in the traditional sense.
Here I share the happenings in my life. The site has grown over the years (grown as in changed, not like a plant
), like I have grown. More recently though the scope has shifted to The List (deserves the Capitals, it’s SO important); My List of 101 things in 1001 days. So I will share my experiences around these goals – how I achieved them, how I failed them, how they frustrate me, and more often the what-was-I-thinking rant.
To put it all in perspective, I’ll tell you a little about myself.
I’m a 29-year-old woman, married to a loving husband, Henk, and we have a gorgeous bouncy little girl, Amelia. I have a separate journal style blog of all her Adventures with pics and anecdotes. Since my family and friends are scattered all over the globe, this helps keeping them up to date.
We have 2 cats and 2 dogs. We all live in a small town in Namakwaland, South Africa. I have lived all over South Africa, from busy cities to tiny towns. When Henk and I got married we had a 5-year-plan to move out of the city and start a family – and here we are.
I’m a medical technologist and Henk is a mechanical engineer. Basically that means that I get to play with blood and TB behind a microscope all day, while Henk welds, cuts, designs, and barks orders.
Lili is almost 2 and the light of our lives. We learn so much through her eyes, and it all boils down to the simple things –like picking a flower without damaging the petals.
On a more creative side, I have a sims 2 fansite where I share my creations, expressims, where I create under the handle Atgnat. But nowadays creating has become a bit of a luxury, and inspiration is dwindling – I still prefer to just play.
Afrikaans being my first language, please do understand if my English isn’t perfect. Some posts will be in Afrikaans. In the column on the right there is a link to a translator; but as with all translators, you have get creative with the syntax.
Feel free to leave comments and ask questions. I would love to hear from you.
Happy Reading!

Hi, nice to meet you !
Hello Tracy
