I can just shake my head. Not surprised considering the week I had – didn’t take ANY pics. Nothing. Nada.

Therefore this pic was taken today. I hid some snacks in a toy money tin and watched Amelia try to open it.

Here’s mine for this week.

Gorgeous day yesterday. Henk wasn’t working. We packed lunch and headed to the sea. Dirt roads meant we had to take the bakkie; my nerves we’re shot what with Amelia sitting on my lap and not in her car seat – bakkie only has 2 front seats. But she slept a bit along the way. She loved the water, even though it was freezing! No sand on this beach, just hundreds of thousands of millions of broken shells.

Where did that sheep go?

Went to farm this today. I have to go out of town for a few days, so I asked the in laws to look after Amelia. Henk is working unsocial hours these days.

We’re busy braai’ing and Amlelia is checking out the area. Yes, it is usually this dry most of the year, but in Spring with the flowers, Namaqualand is gorgeous.

Sun, pool and too much smoked cheese sausage

So I’m in Cape Town this weekend. Need to attend a workshop for work on Monday. Came down a day earlier to visit with Supachik sans Amelia and Henk.

Summertime in SA means braai. My friend had some friends over, filled the pool and the kids had a blast. I missed Amelia though, she would have enjoyed the party so much!

But the excitement (and the 5 smoked cheese pork sausages) proved to be a bit too much for Bratt. While SC went to buy ice-cream, Bratt got a bit sick. I just put him in an empty tub and wiped him down.

Not much planned for today. Will go with the flow.

And I’ve had a successful “International comment leaving week” day today. Posted my 5 comments, and my theme for yesterday was blogs with a colour in the title- even if it’s a surname.
