Here’s mine for this week:

There is a gap between this Sunday and the previous Sunday entry. Henk had a brain-fart: decided to dig up the area where we had put the grass squares, embed the grass in the hole, and cover it all with dirt. My job was fertilising and watering.

It actually worked. The grass was pushing through the dirt. Here, in the pic, Henk is sorting out the garden hose so I can water the grass, and Amelia is playing a game of picking up rocks that fell on the foundation-cement-moat and relocating them.

Here’s mine for this week:

Our foundation is dug and cemented and filled and whatever else you are supposed to do with it. A guy that works with Henk had buildt a fishpond and little river, so he had some grass that we could plant so long.

We fetched it yesterday and placed the blocks like a checkerboard. The idea being that the grass will grow to cover the gaps, then cover the whole lot with fertile earth and the established grass will push and grow through the layer. In theory. Let’s see how it goes.
